From November 5–9, 2025, over twenty Masters athletes from Trinidad and Tobago will compete at the prestigious Barbados Open Water Swim Festival — marking the largest international showing by Masters swimmers from Trinidad and Tobago since the LATyCAR event in Fort Lauderdale in 1999. LATyCAR (Latin American and Caribbean Masters) was the region’s only dedicated Masters event from 1991 to 2005, held biennially. It served as the precursor to today’s Pan Am Aquatics Masters Championships.
