About ASATT

 The Aquatics Sports Association of Trinidad and Tobago (ASATT) is the National Governing Body for aquatic sports (swimming, water-polo, open water, artistic swimming & diving) in Trinidad and Tobago. The organisation is headquartered at the National Aquatic Centre in Balmain, Couva, which features an Indoor Pool, an Outdoor Diving Well, and an Outdoor Pool. ASATT operates as a non-profit organization, incorporated under the Companies Act 1995 (Trinidad & Tobago) and registered under  Trinidad and Tobago's Non-Profit Organizations Act 2019, maintaining full autonomy over its operations.


ASATT's vision is to build a progressive, inclusive, transparent, and supportive aquatic community. Its mission is to ensure the longevity of aquatic sports through strategy, technology, innovation, sound business operations, and financial insight. The Association aims to promote and develop aquatics, secure national team representation on local, regional, and international stages, and ensure the sustainability of its standards and reputation.


Core values that guide ASATT include being connected as a community, communicating respectfully with stakeholders, constantly seeking innovation to improve performance, acting with integrity to ensure ethical decisions, and striving for organisational excellence. ASATT is committed to supporting the sustainable development of Trinidad and Tobago’s aquatic disciplines and producing resilient and elite athletes with competencies, attitudes, and values that strengthen communities and contribute to national harmony and prosperity


THE EXECUTIVE BOARD

The current executive board of the Aquatics Sports Association of Trinidad and Tobago (ASATT) was elected in December 2024. Led by President Shawn Pouchet, a former national athlete and seasoned coach, this dynamic group is committed to elevating swimming, water polo, and open-water disciplines across the nation.
